Think about a skill that most people do not have but could benefit from mastering. Why would people benefit from having this skill? What are the consequences of not having this skill?

Being a good listener.

Seems like many of the world's problems arise because we aren't paying close attention to what others are saying, and we make assumptions or leap to conclusions about their message without taking time to ask them for clarification if necessary.

Jumping to conclusions, being inattentive, caring more about what we want to say than we care about hearing what others are saying causes problems large and small in personal, professional and societal relationships.

Thats easy. If EVERYONE mastered tolerance and kindness towards others, the benefits to the world would be immeasurable.
The consequences of so few people having this skill is evident now in the world we live in.

I don't believe it could ever happen either, but it sure would be cool if it did.
