I suggest that you first downgrade your PSP firmware to version 1.50 and then upgrade your PSP to Dark_Alex's highest custom firmware also known as 3.10 OE-A'.

The custom firmware runs ISOS/Homebrew for 1.50/and PS1 games plus has all the features a 3.10 has as well.

I have personally done the downgrade on my PSP from 2.71 to 1.50 and then up to 3.10 OE-A' and everything is great right now.

And yes, like the person said above me there is a chance of "bricking" or ruining your psp permanently if you run these downgrader and upgrader programs on your psp. When you run these applications the PSP's flash is used which can cause the bricking if the flash goes bad.

It's up to you and you can take the chance. The links I have given to you are reliable sites that I have personally used to downgrade and then upgrade my PSP. I have used the 2.71 downgrader and I used the 3.10 OE-A Upgrader (listed below).

http://www.psp-hacks.com/forums/about32989.html - Upgrading the PSP to 2.71 if you want to use the 2.71 Downgrader (the one I used).

http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=51870 - Upgrade your PSP from 1.50 to 3.10 OE-A. (Read the readme. Really really simple.)

http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=psp&message.id=2810436 - Upgrade from 3.10 OE-A to 3.10OE-A' (small firmware upgrade). Also, this page gives you instructions to download a recovery folder if you somehow don't like 3.10OE-A' to go back to 1.50.

i don't think of there is one yet for PSP yet there is one for PSX/PS1. this is extraordinary reason i've got tried playing Genesis series for PSP on my PSP memory card, and it works positive! Smackdown vs uncooked does not. It freezes and it does not have sound. there is a thank you to make it artwork yet Im uncertain. The folders Genesis series have is PSP, DH, ISO. The CSO report interior the ISO folder makes it artwork with out using each and every little thing else. this is extraordinary. So i'm uncertain in any respect. i be attentive to a pair video games artwork and a few do not, oh and that i've got 3.40 firmware too.

Your PSP has to be homebrew enabled in order to play ISO. This will involve downgrade your PSP to version 1.50. However downgrading is very risky and can make your PSP useless.
