To Steven w. The point of putting the brush in a freezer bag is because it is the right size bag. And The other point of doing it is because I want to use it again the next day for the same job. Same applies to a roller. It saves you cleaning the brush when you have to finish off a job the next day.. I explained that in the question..

when knocking nails into wood first hit the point with a hammer it will stop nail splitting the wood.
add vinegar to warm water then soak on wallpaper when stripping it, the acid in vinegar breaks down old paste and makes it easy to scrape off.
when laeving paint brushes overnight if your decorating or for longer periods , put an elastic band around the bristles to stop it swelling/freying.

Some good answers here, and I have a suggestion, with no offense to you.

I've been at the GAME for a long time, with regard to DIY, painting, etc. and I don't wanna ne Heloise.

Your suggestion about refireragting a brush loaded with paint,,,gloss or not, omits a few thoughts.

If the paint is acrylic one might be better off wetting the brush, even if not totally rinsing. The water in the bristles will keep the polymers and other agents more pliable. If the GLOSS happens to be OIL, yer gonna be throwing the COLD brush away once you take it out of the refrig.

Actually you can load a brush or roller with just the paint, wrap it in those annoying plastic grogery bags we're often offered as a choice, and if you remove as much air as possible the PAINT can remain viable for 72 hours or so, without putting in next to last nights leftover meatloaf. . Certainly a decent brush should be cleaned EVERY TIME due to buildup in the heel. A Roller cover can be discarded.

Read the Question.
Thanks for that tip.good one to remember when I paint.
Now for those onions.
The onion's flavor, odor and tear-inducing characteristics come primarily from sulfuric compounds in the vegetable. When onions are peeled and sliced, we free this chemical which dissolves in small quantities of water in the eyes. This produces a mild form of sulfuric acid, an irritant that causes tearing.
This solution has proven effective in solving this problem. Cutting the top and peeling down without trimming off the root or bottom end until the last possible moment is a very effective method. The cells that release the sulfuric compounds are concentrated at the base of the onion, so cutting off the root end last helps to prevent those tears.

You don`t even have to put your brush in the freezer. I paint a lot and all I do is wrap it in a plastic bag..and it`s good for a couple of weeks..just make sure there`s a little paint on the brush.Fill small gyproc holes with toothpaste..when dry..sand and paint. Use cold tea and a newspaper to clean windows.Use a make-up brush to get dust from tight spaces like your keyboard and phone.Put a drop of fragrant oil ..just a drop..on a cold light bulb and when you turn on your lamp it will smell good.

when using finish nails, I cut the head off one and put it in my drill to pre drill hardwood, I wrap my roller trays and cut buckets with tape around the perimeter and then cover with plastic, sealing the edges while leaving my skin, frame and brush in the container. Striking the housing spring on plastic transmission cases lines up the gears for placing the top back on. Use a screwdriver like stethoscope when trying to find noises in your engine, place the handle against you ear and the tip at different points on the engine.
