Yes, Notre Dame won a title anyway (1988) but IMO they would've been even better if Rocket was used more.

I agree, he would have done much more for the team as a full-time receiver.

Speed kills. Norte Dame in '88 was so good they didn't need to use his raw speed and unpolished recieiver skills because they had guys who were slower but more well-rounded and didn't want to take the chance. But Rocket could have been a great WR on a bad team in the early 90's in the NFL if they made him a primary weapon. You either had to play way off him and give him the short gain or get burnt, or rotate help and leave someone open. Any player that is a home run threat or that you have to rotate the entire coverage to account for would be a great full time WR.

no i think he just wasnt tough enough to handle football as an everydown receiver he should of made a great slot receiver cause you get alot of short passes and use your speed and quickness to do the rest

No. He was not good enough to be a full time receiver.

No playing in college is one thing, but he couldn't and wouldn't ever make a descent pro.

i'd probably say yes. maybe he was just stuck in bad teams at bad times, but he's still the greatest.
