Okay, I was a wrestling fan for 15 years. I finally stopped about 2 or 3 years ago, when Triple H was dominating the sport and Rock and Austin had left. Looks like I didn't miss much, since in the time since then, JBL has finally slurped his way to the top. God how I always hated him.

I miss the old days. Even the early 90s were better than the sports-entertainment stuff. I was watching Wrestlemania VI the other day, and man, wrestling just seemed better then. Yes, the angles were cheesier, and so were the gimmicks. But, by god, it was more fun. I miss stuff like Jake Roberts and Undertaker locking the Warrior in a room filled with snakes. Or Crush turning on Macho Man and making him bleed like a stuck pig. Or Mr. Perfect throwing himself passes and catching them. I miss 80s wrestling. I liked the Austin/Rock period, too, but it was far too short.

Am I the only one that thinks wrestling was more fun back then!?

I am like you. I miss wrestling from the 1980's. During the '80's the tag team competition was excellent. I miss the likes of the Killer Bees, the British Bulldogs, the Hart Foundation, the Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff, Brutus Beefcake and Greg Valentine, and the list goes on. Also, I loved the '80's when Hogan was dominating as the Wrold champion. He held the belt for over four years at one point beating everybody such as Andre the Giant, Big John Studd, King Kong Bundy, and the rest.

No, you aren't. I liked the wrestling in the WWF in the 80s more than anything since (except the original ECW). In the 80s you would have some guy who looked like an overweight accountant in one corner, fighting some muscle-bound, masked, dude from "parts unknown," and you just KNEW who was going to win, but it was still fun. Today's wrestling is a lot of things, but FUN isn't one of them.

I am right with you. I starting watching at wrestlemania VII outdoors at Cesaers Palace. Those were the good days. Wrestling sucks now because all the great characters are either dead, retired or still around and horrible (ric flair, shawn michaels). Where's LOD, Bret Hart, Old Undertaker, Yokozuna and all that great era?

JYD in WWE proved that Vince McMahon became a bigot. contained in the NWA he became a huge well-known man or woman and likely could have gained the NWA global Heavyweight Championship in some unspecified time sooner or later. even as he were given to the WWF, McMahon made him dance and "grab some cakes".
