If you are measuring famous by the amount of tourism it generates then your answer would be Carnival. During the Carnival dates here in Panama you will not find one vacant hotel in any vicinity that celebrates the holiday. There are ads in the newspaper of people leasing the use of extra rooms in their homes. Lastly there are some people who carry a roll up mat and crash where ever they have 'partied until they've dropped'.
