If I could give Ponch two thumbs up, I would. That message frequently gets lost in all of this. But then maybe I'm biased because I've had one brother, one nephew and two nieces serving in Iraq with the British forces.

To answer the issues raised, the war is not illegal. It was merely ill-judged and based on intelligence from the UK which was subsequently shown to be flawed. The proper protest is through the ballot box. Frankly, I have my doubts about what America's opinion is on that. Sen Lieberman was re-elected quite comfortably. I'm sure he had some quiet help from the Republican Party, but that should not diminish his victory against an opponent who stood very clearly on one issue.

I am not yet an American citizen but, if I were, I might be a bit offended by your suggestion that one must take part in this event if one is to be considered a patriot. That may not be how you meant it to come out, but that is what you said.

Finally, I have yet to see any credible evidence that 9/11 was an "inside job." I have watched some of the videos which present an alternative view. Quite frankly, their evidence contains more holes than my socks.

I'm against the war but most protests are ridiculous. It is done with hate rather than well intentions and nobody takes it seriously.

No, support the troops! It is because I am a patriot that I will not be protesting the war.

I can do my patriotic duty by supporting the President and our troops, thanks. I'll leave the protesting to you, Jane Fonda, Cindy Shehann, etc.

What Constitution and Fundamentals are you fighting to protect? This is not "United for Peace" it's a left wing joke.

People do not have to believe as you do to be true American Patrot's. I resent you implying I am less of a patriot than you are if I choose not to protest the same things you are. Please dont make blanket statements like that, It only makes the rift between ALL American's wider and harder to bridge.....

Keep it simple, so as not to lose anyone's interest in Reading your diatribe.
Use the specific websites to work up your cohorts. This is too neutral for you to fan the flames of patriotism.

I will deliberately not protest. Just because you want us to leave Iraq doesn't mean there will be peace when we leave.

I'll be there, but not because I am a patriot. Patriotism is the biggest threat to peace.

Everytime they have a protest, all the loons show up with their various kook causes. Do you think most of them are there to protest the war? Sorry to burst your bubble.
