I have purchased a property in my wife "s individual name and i am about to get seperated legally .what will happen to the property ,i have all the records of payment done from my salary account.?

Its hers, write it off..you put it in her name.

You may have a problem because it's in her name, it may not even matter that have records of payments done from your account. That's due to her name being on the property, if it were both your names you may have a chance.

You could call a lawyer, buy I think your out and it's hers. Sorry to tell you that!

The District Court, while granting decree of divorce, directs to transfer that property in the name of one who actually paid its cost. However the judge orders the spouse having sufficient means to pay for the future mainenance of the spouse unable to maintain, either monthly or in lumpsum. All this can be done in a single Original Petition.

That all depends on the circumstances of the divorce, the judge, how good her attornery is, and so forth. But usually the property will have to be sold and the money split 50/50.

Depending on where you live, Comm. Prop. state or non........

She keeps the property if the Deed is in her name only.

Unsure of comm. prop. states. Seek legal advice.
