It won't hurt your chances no. Any sort of "club" you belong to is always benefitial. That is the only way it will be looked upon though. They will not look at it and then see YOU as something "special" for their institution, because you have a high IQ and therefore give your application special advantage over the others. I mean you and i both know that IQ does not determine one's success. Your hope is simply that your belonging to a club will help give you kudos for showing that you had some involvement in extra curricular activities.
My hubby wanted to say this..."if your so dang smart..YOU figure it out"...but i didn't say that...so please do not take points off of me for that. He is on leave right now and has to put his two cents in here it seems.

i will't say with fact what his IQ is.yet i be attentive to he Magna *** Laude from Harvard regulation college. He additionally attended Columbia college and taught on the college of Chicago for over 10 years,it extremely is a nicely ranked public college interior america. He achieved this with difficult artwork and self-direction with out help from a former President daddy. So my wager is his IQ is maximum probable greater than yours. And why attempt to discredit his accomplishment by potential of asserting that "no different persons have been in seek of the area", except you actual attended Harvard at that factor, I see no way as to the way you would be attentive to this suggestions.

Nope, not one bit.
Even if membership in Mensa was proof of intelligence, why would it be a valid comparison to people who are not members of Mensa? Are people who are not members of Mensa less intelligent than members? No proof of that.
College admissions want to see demonstrations of what you can do with your intelligence, besides joining clubs.

If you're a smart person with an IQ potential to join Mensa, chances are you got good grades in school. If you are Mensa, and got terrible grades, Mensa wont help you.
Being a good student is more about grades and accomplishments than it is about intelligence quotient.
