I need to write a story about a cabin in the middle of a snowstorm, and a car that gets stuck in the snow But to fit the story time table it needs to be in October or the first couple of days in November I originally placed the setting in California's Moutains or the san gabrial wilderness but now I doubt I can do that because of the Oct. date the story starts with. I guess I could move things to canada but I need a CIA agent to be present and I doubt she would show up in canada. I know I could use Alaska but I'd rather not. and Yes, the answer may very well appear in work of fiction to be released next year. I'll give credit to those who help me.

Colorado mountains often get snow in Oct. and Nov.

Some actual Colorado place names you might be able to use to add atmosphere: Quandary Peak, Troublesome Creek, Las Animas River (River of the Spirits), Dolores (Sorrow) River, Paradox Valley, Hardscrabble Creek, Cannibal Peak, Devil's Gate, Purgatoire (Purgatory) River, Wolf Creek Pass.
