At least 25 yards going only in one way while swimming in the pool itself. How far across the pool swimming perpendicularly to the lane lines is I don't know, I've never asked and I've never heard. Special YMCAs may have 50 yard pools but the chances of one having such a long pool are unlikely.

Depends. Mostly they are 25 yards, but mine is 25 meters. Ask someone who works there. It's unusual for a YMCA to have an Olympic sized pool which is 50 meters long.

usually it is 25 yards long but this depends on the facility and it could be 25 meters or even sometimes 50 meters. those are the 3 most common length of pools (or at least for racing). my guess is that it is probally a 25 yard pool

Actually most YMCAs have 6 lanes of 25m lengths. Although some can have 8 lanes or have 25 yard lengths.

it depends on the YMCA honestly, I would be willing to bet if it was a lap pool it would be 25 yards long.

It's either:
25 yards
25 meters
-or-
50 meters
Just ask the lifeguard or someone at the check in desk...
