First of all be patient & Calmly read the whole answer,& don't get bored of at the middle.....
This is probably due to low ram, windows xp,windows xp media center, server 2003 etc will work fine fine with 256 MB Ram,but if u don't have that much ram or if u have a lots of programs running in the background, pls stop the unwanted services running at behind, for that click start button, click run, then type "msconfig"(without the inverted commas),& press enter. At msconfig go to the services tab & uncheck the unnecessary services there,. Now we don't know what service is of what use, so pls do this... Go to control panel, click Performance & maintenance, then click Administrative tools, then computer management, a new window will appear, at the working space click services & applications & then click services, now u can see the complete list of services with their details. Now decide which services are to stop & which are not to stop.
In addition to this u can also increase your virtual memory (a memory space in physical hard drive which computer uses as RAM) too. For this right click on "My Computer" select properties, then switch on the advance tab, there u can see the label "performance" there click on the settings button, now there again u can see 3 tabs, there select the "advanced" tab (the middle tab), there at the label virtual memory press the "change button". Here click on the drive on which your operating system is installed, click custom size & set the virtual memory size u desired. After that press the Set button & exit from the above, if computer prompt to restart then let it restart.
Other tips : - Pls make a habit of cleaning up the Hard Drive, especially the C drive or the partition where your operating system is installed, weekly.
Defragment all the volumes from time to time, to keep your computer fast, especially the partition where yur operating system is installed.
Check for errors on harddisk.
And the best way please increase your RAM (if possible).
If you follow all the above properly, u must have a faster computer that now u have,
BEST OF LUCK !!!

Sure all that info helps me know that you are low on RAM (memory). So get out your computer documentation and find out what kind of RAM your computer needs and get some more. I'd say you need at least 1 Gb of RAM.
But your hard drive could be maxed out too with large music files. Hard to really get concrete without looking at your system.
One way to check this out is to off-load as much music as you can to dvds or cds. Also if you have picture files and videos, off-load them as well. They take up lots of space. After that, clean up old and unused files using Disk Cleanup, then reboot and defragment the hard drive. Reboot and see if you still get the error. Good Luck

there are many things which can slow down your computer , all depends also your ram memory which i don't know how fast it is, here are some things you can do :
1.When the computer begins you migh have many programs which start working all together and u can see their icons on the taskbar near the clock, if u don't want all the programs to start , go to : start-->run-->write "msconfig"-->startup , there u can uncheck the programs you don't want them to start working when u turn on the comp(carefull don't uncheck antivirus and other windows applications)
2.Your ram memory migh just be too low
3.you might be affected with spyware which slows the speed of the computer , if u don't have any antispyware , i suggest you download ad-aware program .
4.Go to my computer , right click on your hard disk , properties , tools , and do defragment now , it can help your comp be faster , it doesn't delete anything.
That's all i can think of , good luck

SPYWARE_ADDWARE
Spy ware and ad ware are sometimes brought into your PC on the cookies(Little bits of information that make it easy to go to sites the next time.)Sometimes you can get much worse things. The spy ware tracks your surfing habits so they can design pop ups and banners based on the information they send back to where ever it is that they came from.W hen you get a lot of spy ware it will slow down your PC. I use some free ware programs to get rid of them. You need to run these programs periodicity.
Best programs for a good running PC and are free, the first two get all the add ware when you them one at a time. They caught a key logger first time I used them. The last one on the list is my favorite it cleans all the junk files and a whole lot more .Zone alarm is about as good as it gets. This and yahoo security suit are all I use to keep my PC happy.De frag and scan disk also.

Simply you need to consider upgrading you Ram as your system is finding it hard to run quick enough for all the application that you run.
Upgrading your Ram is simple and quite cheap. Your system is not broken though.
