Somebody once told me that a brain keeps everything. It’s just that information gets piled on top of existing information, making it harder to dig up old info.

A good example would be for you to go and pickup a math book and some things will start coming back to you.

Some people use memory techniques that helps them store information forever. Pick up a Mega Memory Book, you will be surprised how easy it is to remember lots of information for a long time.

I've not taken a math course in 2 years, but I still remember enough algebra to be able to help out here. Geometry and calculus, though, are completely gone from my mind. I suppose it's the things that we understood best that sticks, and the stuff we don't, doesn't get stuck.

Yes, but you probably remember certain things when you see them. I've heard that we never forget anything; it's a question of "digging the info out" when you need it!
