I chew my nails. I have been for 6 years. I know it's time to stop. But how do I? I am broke, plus I am only 10 so there is no chance of buying anything. And everytime I ask my parents about it, they say they will do something, yet nothing has happened! And I asked 2 months ago about it! So, any possible tips that I can use without having to spnd money? Thanks! (Maybe)

use any cheap cotton gloves u mite hve at home. Whenever you get the urge to bite, put them on until the urge goes away. When sitting in front of the TV or whenever hands are idle, wear the gloves.

u can also try clippin ur nails too short also will power works too.

Keep a healthy amount of clear fingernail polish on your nails. When you go to chew on your nails you will taste the nail polish and it will taste really bad. Otherwise you can try wiping Tabasco sauce, or anything else in your mom's kitchen that has a kick to it , on your fingernails. That should help you stop the biting. Good Luck!!

Rub finger nail polish remover on your nails...every time you put them in your mouth it will give a bad taste and you won't want to chew on them anymore.

my friend had this problem. she used lemon juice. just squirt it on your nails and everytime you go to bite them you get a sour taste in your mouth. the only problem with this is that everytime you wash your hands you have to do it again.

also, it may have to do with anxiety. you may be nervous or excited, or even stressed out. try to calm down and watch a movie or read a book.
