Automatic...4.3 L. It has electronic 4WD shifting, and the 'service 4WD' dash light comes on often, which disables the dash buttons(no lights on selector buttons). I have had it back to my mechanic, and they said there was a faulty sensor and replaced it, but it started to do it again a couple days later. I have also been told it could be the solenoid on the transfer case, or possibly the actual buttons themselves. I am taking it back on Monday, and would like to have a better idea of what I'm dealing with when I talk to the mechanic. Any thoughts...?
By the way, I have an aftermarket warranty....I just bought this truck.... so I don't care what it takes to get it fixed.

I don't know what codes they were getting when they diagnosed, but whatever it was, they felt the need to replace a sensor. Sorry I don't have more info.
