If us men were shallow and materialistic then how come we dont ask for sh!t on valentines day?? Because we are indeed not shallow and materialistic.

Because people, despite what they think, work on their primitive urges. Women want a mate that can take care of them so that its safe to live and you dont have to worry about being poor or not being able to eat.
Shallow is just because there are a bunch of horrible role models that make being a dumb bit** cool. We need positive role models and better health care and Paris Hilton to shut the hell up.

I used to only date tall models with money, but I married a short, bald guy and we were poor as church mice in the beginning. I was only shallow when I wasn't serious.

Some women are that way because they are spoiled by their parents who want to have a little "princess". Then they grow up and expect their boyfriends/husbands and the world to give them whatever they want. I see it all the time. It is very sad and very annoying to have to work with young women like this.
