I know the bikini line but should it all be gone?

I think it is personal preference. Removing all or partial pubic hair is absolutely fine. Only two possible problems.
1. When it grows back it is kind of prickly even itchy.
2. You may get an ingrown hair in an uncomfortable spot, but they are not very common.
How much you remove is all dependent on your preference.
I prefer bikini line for complete hair removal, and I trim the rest very short with a beard trimmer.

the above answers are great. I just wanted to point out that if you do decide to remove any or all of the hair, consider waxing. it sounds horribly painful but it's not as bad as you think, plu it lasts longer, prevents ingrown hairs and I find the hair doesnt grow back as prickly.

That is something that is a matter of personal choice. However much you feel like getting rid of is perfectly fine.
