You have to swipe the card first before you even take the nozzle. There are instructions for which direction the card goes in right on the pump. Once it is approved, start pumping the gas. When you are done, replace the nozzle, put gas cap back on, and take your receipt. Good Luck.

there are usually clear instructions on the pump.You will need to swipe your card(debit or credit),pick the grade of gas,pump it,and get a receipt. all of them tell you what to do.......if you had to ask on here,I'd just go inside and pay sweetie.
