#1 - DOMINIQUE!

Jordan and Vinsanity are both great, but Wilkins would just dunk out of nowhere. He could leap from either foot and he didn't need a fast break. Wilkins would dunk over guys like Bill Walton. He'd get extension on every single dunk. He was just amazing.

Vince Carter's OIympics dunk, though, is still the greatest of all time.

Please, no one say Air Up There... he's NOT the first person to do a 720, and his dunk isn't even a full 720. The best dunkers should be considered in game dunkers, not guys from dunking competitions OR And 1 and the Globetrotters, because, quite frankly, Vince Carter proved that in a dunk competition no one is greater than he is (was).

In the NBA today, i'd say Vince Carter might have the most versitality of any of the dunkers. Back in the day though Darryl Dawkins used to bring the pain...he's been quoted as trying to take the rim off with every dunk. David Thompson was 6'4'' and had a 44'' vertical and was nickednamed "skywalker" before starwars was out. But if you get a chance check out Kadour Ziani he has a 60'' vertical leap, not the best dunker but crazy hops!!

Hands down, Julius Erving "Dr. J" is the greatest dunker ever. But, a close second is Michael Jordan. Who can forget the 1988 dunk contest when MJ took off from the foul line?

EASY...........VINCE CARTER is INSANE!!!!!!!!!!! VINSANITY is the most accurate nickname ever. What he did in the dunk contest could never happen again. Reverse 360 was the best looking dunk I've ever seen b/c he did it so smooth and powerful. Between the legs off the bounce.....rediculous. I am a big MJ fan and HUGE Dominique fan, but neither could have done what he did that night.

T.J. Fontinette (Air up There) is the best because of his arsenal of dunks (supposed 720 and 360 through the legs) But to top all the other guys he's only 6'2", almost half a foot shorter than the other guys.

Hob Nobs, you can dunk them 2 or 3 times and they still don't crumble.
