sometimes websites open a redirect link, mostly b.s. websites trying to gain traffic to alternate sites that otherwise would not get clicked on, websites operate on meta tags, they can make their website appear to be almost anything (ie you search for cat trees, you see worlds best cat trees, click on it and get directed to a porn site) nothing can really be done about such, but you could also be experiencing hijacking of some sort... open a page then type in a known url, like www.msn.com, if something else comes up then you have a problem, also try typing in a url that doesn't exist. if you get some really whacked search page then you need to download ad aware (www.lavasoft.com) and fix the problem with their scan.

This IS possible. When you are using Internet Explorer, Click on Tools>Internet options> Delete cookies, delete temporary internet files, delete browsing history. Once you do those 3 it hould get rid of it. However Internet Explorer is not a safe browser and is not reccomended.... Built on the Mozzila engine, Firefox has gained enough popularity in the short time since its release to keep Microsoft awake at night. I think the the popularity of Firefox stems from the fact that it looks and acts much like Internet Explorer, but doesn't have the security flaws. There is almost no adjustment period when you switch to Firefox because things are in familiar places. Google and the Mozilla Foundation have recently teamed up to promote Firefox. One of the great features of Firefox is the availability of extensions. Extensions allow people to write new features into Firefox as they see fit. You can then download and install these extensions to get the same functionality on your computer. Some of the popular extensions add tabbed browsing, mouse gestures, and themes to Firefox. With new features and hundreds of improvements in Version 1.5, I highly recommend you at least try Firefox for a week. If you don't, you will never know what you are missing.

Srach engines only show what the publisher says to say. It may be a pron site4 and the publisher says its a ebncilpedia site so more people will visit. That's why serach engines are reliable, but you have to watch out. So if ur looking for something and in the title it shows up like george bush is a dumb president, heres why and then u click on the site and it says bush rules, its becuase the publisher lied
