What is the mans job as a husband? Sounds kinda crazy but people in relationships do have roles, but what are they?

As a husband, it's my job and privilege to love, honor, and respect my wife. Which is a great deal for me, cuz I have the greatest wife on Earth, and I can't help loving, honoring, and respecting her. So, basically, I can just relax, and enjoy the benefits of being lucky enough to know my wife.

A lot of people have different ways of looking at it. Some would say that a husband is the man you would marry and be in love with and spend your life with. Which I agree with but on the other hands others may look at it different. I think that a husband and a wife has equal responsibilities in a marriage.

My feelings are that a mans job as a husband is to love and respect his wife. To care about her feelings and sometimes put her feelings and needs above his own. The same goes for a wife and her job as a wife. For both of them to be supportive of each other in all areas. To maintain open communication(I know a hard thing for a man to do) that is vital for the health of the relationship.

My husband and I always joke that the mans job is to start the BBQ and make sure the cars always have gas. But truthfully a husbands role is really the same as a wifes, an equal partnership, fun friendship and loving relationship.

A marriage is a partnership. And a man should love, honor, respect and nurture his wife.

The Bible says a man should, "love his wife and Christ loves the church." In other words, Christ was willing to sacrifice his life, his kingdom-everything for those that love him. A husband's job is to do the same.

Also, Jesus Christ is the head of the church. That doesn't mean he's a dictator. It means that he leads with love and compassion. Men are the natural leaders of the family and it's their responsibility to lead.

By leading I don't mean that a man tells his wife what to do. I mean he leads by example. If a husband goes to church, his wife and children will go to church. If a man cusses, his children will learn to cuss. If a man loves and cherishes his family, they will learn to love and cherish him.

It's a good question to ask and I think it varies from couple to couple. A word to the wise for men. Do not give up your identity as a man because you also became a husband. I think it is a question that couples have to ask before they decide to get married. The last thing that two people don't want to happen is for them to scratch their heads a year or two or three into their marriage and say, "This is not what I wanted or intended."

Job? Being a husband is not a job. It's a partnership.

This depends 100% on the couple in the marriage. There are some marriages where the wife stays home and takes care of things like children, cleaning, etc. But there are also many relationships that are the opposite.
In all marriages the expectations should be agreed upon before the wedding. Communication is the main ingredient in deciding who does what.

To be the head of the house...provide a safe home, pay all the bills, support his wife mentally, spiritually and physically.

And as a wife, care for what your husband has provided, respect his decision's and be a helpmate.

Now of course this would be in a perfect world. There should always be a sanity check and "a deal breaker". Would you follow someone who was lost?
