Post your ad on a free website called craigslist.com there are lots of people out there that can help. Good luck, and it's wonderful that you are putting your little girl first. You can make ends meet if you try. So many people have baby's and just put them in daycare. I think you are a wonderful person for caring enough about your little girl to stay home with her and don't let anyone tell you that's not work because it really is. Being a stay at home mom is tough. Also have you considered maybe finding a child or 2 to watch while you are home? Then you can do both. Be home and make some extra cash. Good luck

Of course the first few months are important to your baby, but I would like that being able to feed and clothe her would be just as important! Staying home if fine if you are still able to provide for your baby; however, I would not want my son to be deprived just so I can stay home. Perhaps you have a relative who could provide quality care for your child while you work enough to afford the essentials. Maybe you could even find a "work from home" job so that you could be with your daughter and still be able to provide for her. If a child is receiving quality care during the day and spending quality time with parents whenever possible and also has what he or she needs, that will serve the child far more than a great quantity of time with parents and lacking basic necessities.
That said, manage what money you have wisely and look for garage sales and shop at Goodwill or the Salvation Army. Also, you could try saving money on formula by attempting to breastfeed. It's difficult, but not impossible to start at this age. Call your local hospital to find a lactation consultant if you are interested.

There is a website called swapbabygoods.com, I love this site but you have to be careful. Some people trade, some sell and some give away, but always check their satisfaction rating. I got ripped off by one lady so I'm more careful now. I am also a SAHM, we live in a very rural area so working anywhere would be an hour travel time all together; factoring in gas and child care expenses make me stay home. Kidnergarten will be here before you know it, I know that sounds ridiculous when it seems diaper prices keep on creeping up, but you might be able to work then. I would work if I could, but then again I would fear missing my son's first steps and words.

Perhaps you should realize that you are not the only mother of a young child who wants to be at home with their child. My daughter is 6 month old and I would have LOVED to have been able to AFFORD to stay home with her. However, since I am a responsible parent I realize that my child will also benefit from my being able to feed and clothe her. Therefor I HAD to go back to work after 6 weeks. Perhaps you should re-evaluate your situation. Get a part time job and work in the evenings/midnight-shift, when your partner will be home with you child if you really feel the need to be with her.

I would, but my daughter is also 5months old. So I don't think her clothes would fit.Try finding a baby consignment shop where you can take gently used clothing and trade it in for someone Else's' castoffs. I am in the same boat, so that is what i do. I have gotten some really cute outfits at awesome prices. Stuff like Old navy and baby gap for only 3 or 4 dollars. With the formula, Have you tried WIC? It is worth it if you qualify. I think good start is the formula that they give out. At least that is what it is here in Texas

I do wish you and your baby good luck in the future. I do have some girls clothes that I would like to get rid of, but they are for 6 and 7 year olds. There is nothing wrong with wanting to stay home with your child, but to bring in a few extra dollars visit this site. http://www.inboxdollars.com/?r=james950
Sometimes, I get a check for $200.00 just by using this site. And this is not a scram, I cashes my check at the bank that I receive from them.

Summer is almost here. Garage sales are GREAT, especially for baby girl stuff. Watch your paper for local sales.. sometimes people have them around this time for early spring.

You should check freecycle or craigslist.com. There are lots of free things to be had in your local area!
