O my gosh ok so what you do is wash your face TWICE a day ( try to find a good acne solution that fits you i personally use proactive in the morning and then at night I use St. Ives because proactive works but it dries my skin out if i use it too much and then at night i use St. Ives because it makes my face SUPER SOFT and smooth) then do not use any foundation because it clogs your poors trust me i learned the hard way and what you do is you just accent your eyes with whatever you like to wear personally i use almay eyeline for green eyes and then loreal brownish black mascera and i LOVE it and every once and a while i use eyeshadow personally i love to wear natural browns with a really nice shimmery look or if you like funky colors you can do that to, just make sure you don't look like a clown or something lol I wear glasses too and this way when i accent my eyes they pop out of my glasses and i get TONS of compliments : ) and as for the whole acne thing don't worry about what people think of you because EVERYONE eventually goes through it and then eventually it will be over.

If you like lip gloss you can wear that too : )

Dry and/or greasy skin due to poor oil composition of the skin. Thick greasy oils clog pores, lack of oil leads to dryness and irritation. You need thin oils to moisturize while dissolving and clearing gunk in your poors. Try fish oil or seafood. 2 tsp fish oil a day or 4 servings of seafood a week. Stick it out for at least 2 months; it will take a long time to replace all your oil. Any effect after 1-2 days is temporary or random; so even if it makes you break out a little at first, you haven't given it a full try yet.

In the short term you can wash and moisturize well, but that will only go so far. Plus excessive washing can be drying and excessive moisturizing can be clogging. Use a small amount of a light moisturizer, made with oil not jelly or grease. Often that means soybean oil or mineral oil. Mineral oil means mined from the ground. So soybean oil is usually better, though mineral oil won't cause too much harm. Clean with soap and water, not a harsh acne cleanser. Even then they only work so well. So you really need the seafood.

Antibiotics aren't really good for bacteria long term, they'll come back in force after. Short term they may help. After you get off them find some kefir with acidophilus listed first or 2nd to replace the friendly bacteria they destroyed. Studies show less illness when you have these bacteria, even outside the stomach in places such as the lungs and elsewhere. You want friendly bacteria to fill the void when the antibiotics stop, not harmful ones.

In the short term you might also try 100,000+ iu retinol vitamin A (a megadose, and too much for normal use) or one of the acne drugs that is similar to retinol vitamin A. It's some minor harm to your organs, but it helps against bacteria on your skin. At least it doesn't have the other long term drawbacks to your skin that antibiotics and many scrubs do.

If you would like to learn how to treat your acne permanently and regain your health and wellbeing, without drugs, without typical acne treatments, and without any side effects, then this will be the most important letter you will ever read.

When you have acne, it's best to stay away from skin makeup in general because this can irritate it. Use skin creams to get rid of the problem, not makeup to cover it up. Try Clearasil, Clean & Clear or Proactiv.

For eyes, I would suggest talking to your mom about contacts. If this is out of the question, draw attention to other areas of your face like lips or cheekbones, maybe spend extra time on your hair.

For makeup in general, try lipgloss, a dab of blush on your cheekbones and maybe a little eye makeup. Check out the Yahoo! Hair section for 'do ideas.

Good luck!

I am 24. I wore makeup as a teen, still wear some now. Just so you know that I know what i'm talking about :)

You want to use concealer for sure. You can get 99 cent conclear from Wet n Wild. It works fine and wont cause more acne.
Physician's Formula has a great line of products thats good for the skin. You want to use makeup that doesn't have oil in it.
So instead of using oil based foundations you might want to try a powder.
Put on concealer (it should be lighter than your skin). Physicians formula has a little square concelear. Put this over the other (skin color, green one doesn't really work). And then put some light powder over it.

Tips: Apply concealer with fingertips. Apply powder with brush.
When using brush, get powder on, blow on it, tap it down, then apply.

You can also just use concealer if you feel better about that.

I also listed a simple routine to get rid of acne below:

Here's a simple formula for keeping the acne away.
1. Go Buy two face cleaners: 1 clearsil pads and 1 apricot scrub
- Use clearsil pad to clean your face every morning and before bed. (Wash face with water, dry, use pad, don't dry).
- Apricot scrub. Use this at least once a week. Best to use every other day though. Easiest to use in shower. After use then use clearsil pad.
2. Use rubbing alcohol for spot reduction. Dip Q tip in rubbing alcohol and apply to pimple before bed.
3. Don't cause scars: Don't pick if you don't have to.
4. Keep your hair clean. Our hair has so much oil in it (even dry hair). Many people don't realize that a lot of acne comes from hair. This means shower at least every other day.
5. Keep your pillow case clean. Wash weekly. If you don't have washer and dryer then wash in bathtub. It holds a lot of oil!
6. If you are a female you can also buy some concelear. If you can afford it buy oil free concelear (like Physicians Formula). If not then buy 99 cent concelear (wet n wild brand is cheap). You can use this to cover up acne while in public and for some reason i think it helps to wear it.
7. Drinks lots of water!!!

If you can't afford to buy acne products listed above there are home remedy formulas.
Instead of clearsil pads apply rubbing alcohol with cloth.
Instead of apricot scrub mix oil free soap with sugar (I used to keep a glass jar of sugar in my bathroom).

If this doesn't work you can ask your doctor to prescribe Benzol Peroxide (use it in place of the cleansing pads), it's a bit stronger.

You can't get rid of scars until you've been acne free for 3 months. At this time you can start using scar meds. like Mederma.

Tip: Hot water opens pores so you can clean them out. Cold water closes them.

Tip: Don't ever rub face dry with a towel. Either blot dry or let air dry. Towel particles clog up pores.

REMEMBER: You have to use all steps for it to be effective.

Hope this helps!

Since you don't want to clog your pores try a powder. You can get a compact that you can take places or in your purse. You just apply it with a little sponge and it should tak away some of the redness. Just be sure to wash your face EVERY night and morning. If you still have any problems I would ask your mom ( I know I know), a makeup counter at the mall or a friend. (But don't use friends' makeup!!)

You can use make up that is oil-free, you should always look for that as if you choose one that isn't oil free you'll be more prone to acne, specially if you have oily skin. Also look that it says non-comedogenic, which means that it won't clogged pores. And of course don't over do the makeup, just try foundation which is lighter and breathes better than concealers.

besides using a gentle cleanser, you must wear a base foundation. The best in my opinion is Mary Kay. The foundation works to keep dirt from getting into your skin. do not use drug store brands, cover girl etc. You should also stay away from exfoliates with beads or grains in them. Use a higher quality cleanser and make up for the best results. I hope this helps.

Hey, try using Almay foundation, they have on e for teens with acne. You could also use Clearisil cover up (tinted) and put that on your zits. Then put on foundation or just put the cover-up on your face. It will cover oils, get rid of zits and give you a natuiral beautiful look.

I think it is amazing what just eye shadow (a light matte color) and mascara (mascara is the #1 makeup in my book) can do. Also put on a lip gloss that is shiny with a sheer color. Really give it a try, it is AMAZING what it can do. And this way you don't have to worry about clogging your pores. =)
