how do i explain to my mom that i wanna buy thongs??

I went shopping with my friends and I bought a couple of thongs from.....P!NK, cause I hate that when I wear sweat pants my underwear line shows. (I wear sweats like eveyday.) One day I wore 1 to school and it was not uncomfortable or anything. I'm only 13 and my sister is 18 and she jus started wearing thongs about a year or 2 ago. If she found out she'd flip. (She's kinda protective cause she doesn't want me to grow up too fast) So how do I tell my mom I wear them. Well I don't think askin or tellin my mom is the problem, I think my sister is.........I'm afraid of what they will say....
Please Help! I need advice......

Tell her how uncomfortable u feel when u'r line shows and explain to her that the thongs leave no line......if that dosn't work well then I would go out and buy them on the d/l (down low) and i would make sure to wash them myself and keep them in a spot where nobody wil find them....

humm...well you don't have to OFFER any explanation until they question you. But when they do, first your sister isn't the one who is in charge or makes the rules, your mom is, so she needs to BUTT out. Second, you have to realize that no matter what you say the bottom line is your mom has that ability to tell you that she doesn't care what you think, no matter how logical it is, and no matter how "right" you are, she does not want you to wear them and that is that and you have no choice in the matter. I know..life sucks don't it?

But, if you think you have a shot...tell her that you simply feel they are comfortable. You don't wear them for any other reason. Tell her it isn't like anyone else sees them other than YOU. Tell her you were them for innocent reasons and nothing more! If her mind or anyone else's for that matter is in the gutter why should that be YOUR PROBLEM? Let her know you have enough problems being 13 and simply want to lessen that by feeling comfortable.

Sad, you have to deal with this. I know i offered to buy my daughter thongs at like barely 11 or something....she flipped out at first and said "ewwwww".. i was like "why honey?" it isn't like anyone is going to see them but you right? Now, she is 12 and buys them on her own and came to me one day and said "omg mom i think daddy saw my thongs do you think he is going to flip out?"..i said so what if he does! HOnestly, i would rather she buys the thongs now, then the panties she used to buy with the words on the back of them. I mean it seems to me seeing those through her white sweats brought more attention to her behind than thongs you couldn't notice.

i really dont think at 13 you need to tell your mom about the type of undies you wear. Especiially since the big ones are a bother to your physical appearance. After a while you will get the hang of it. Your sister will understand the situation too.

Here's what I think you should do:
Well, you need to leave your sister out of this. Everyone grows up at a different speed. I do not recommend just washing them. You should bring this up when you've got some 1on1 time with your mom. Tell her gently, "Mom, when I was shopping with my friends, I decided to purchase some thongs. I really am not trying to go to fast, I just want to try new things. I am beginning to mature, and I can begin to make decisions on my own. If you wouldn't mind please don't tell...(insert name)...thank you!"

If you want to buy thongs, go ahead and do it. However, to receive your parents' approval, earn some money to buy them. Ask your parents if you can work for some penauts (cash) here or there. They'll help you. You can that way take more pride in your items as well as your parents realizing that you're a grown woman. It's that simple.

well saying simply is that i need to buy thongs because they have a been alot into fashions these days .....it would help if u simply explain her a bit more reasons about why u wanna wear a thong and for what? reasons a strong one i believe will always help for sure......!

I think your a little young to wear them however .....

I would take my mom shopping. Show her what you want and WHY. If you don't tell her why she'll atomatically assume that its for the worst. If you can explain it to her without becomeing agrumentative or whiny-ish, than she's more likely to accept it. Sometimes well placed jokes work too.

However you still need to understand that she may still say no. And that it's all for your own good. It's not like you'll NEVER wear them right?

Tell her that panty lines suck and you wear thongs for that reason. Make sure she understands that you are not wearing them for sexual reasons and no one will see them outside of PE. Parents worry that kids your age are sexually active and thong underwear will make her wonder.
