Famous Last Words (awesome song btw) refers to the final words of this guy who is "not afraid to keep on living
not afraid to walk this world alone." It means that these are his last words before his departure. Good luck with your project!

Famous Last Words was written during the darkest times of the band [during the making of their latest album The Black Parade when everyone feels like sh!t that they wanted to get over of being a band]. thank God they didnt split up!

anyway, the song is about living your life to the full. The famous last words i think are the chorus. The concept of the whole album is about a patient, who died from cancer and then had a journey in his afterlife. The lead singer, Gerard Way, created this character which people can put themselves in the shoes of. During the making of the song, they didnt have a chorus. It was also the time when gerard broke up with his girlfriend [for 6 years! it was like marriege]. whY? i dunno..so thats when he came up with the lyrics "i am not afraid to keep on living | i am not afraid to walk this world alone | honey if you'd stay i'll be forgiven | nothing you can say could stop me going home.."

it's a beautiful song..if you listen to it over and over again, you'd know that there's a lot of meaning behind it which really makes it amazing. MCR ROCKS!

I think it's the parts...

Now I know
That I can't make you stay
But where's your heart

and

I am not afraid to keep on living
I am not afraid to walk this world alone
Honey if you stay I'll be forgiven
Nothing you can say can stop me going home

I think those parts just mean I don't need someone with me, I can survive without you and these are my Famous Last Words. Famous Last Words being we're breaking up.
