Well, I'm mostly going for t.v. and movie, but theatre.. I haven't tried that yet.. .That might be a good change. And for the stage fright.. That's what I was thinking.. Just give it all ya got when you get up there, but I'm afraid I'll freeze.. Mabye I could start with America's Got Talent or something, and if that's good, try out... Or I could just like you said take one more class of acting and then mabye singing and try out... Okay.. *phew* Any more tips?

First of all, as i'm sure you know, you can't expect to be able to audition for tv shows and commercials right away. You sound kinda young, like me. [Not sure if you really are though, just assuming.] I'm a teenager. I started out just doing classes at some theater groups nearby. Once you're comfortable performing in those, you're ready to move ahead. If you're shy, you should probably keep working smaller and building your self-esteem before tackling bigger auditions. When you're ready, sign up or audition for casting directors around your area. If you don't know of any, look up "casting" and the name of your city on Google. If you start working with talent agents, the auditions will come to you. Oh, and just for advice: DON'T FALL FOR THE ONLINE AUDITION SERVICES. You always end up paying, even if it says it's free, and you should never pay a casting director before they start getting you auditions. Good luck =]

It depends what you want to audition for. I suggest you go to a search engine and look for musical theatre auditions in your area. Try auditioning at a local college if they allow it. I'm not a student at MIT and I've done several shows there. It's worth a try.

Also, stage fright, in my opinion is something you can only overcome by getting up there and giving it your all. Maybe, to free yourself, you could see if there are any local acting classes you can take. There are also breathing and meditation exercises you can use to calm yourself down. Finally, if you know you're good, just keep telling yourself. You'll start to believe it and you'll therefore have more confidence.

I wish you the best of luck!

well, im sure there are a million acting groups near you. I do lots and lots of theatre, and really, its not hard. you cant see the audience unless you stare at the audiacne. ahha. but seriously, the lights are usually too bright. and if your scared of stage fright, audition for a play, but on the sheet it usually asks for the parts you would be interested in. say you would rather have a smaller part, so you can get used to being in front of audiances. THEN you can go on to tackle bigger productions, and roles.

REMEMBER, your amazing :)
Hope I could help

You did not tell us, in which American city you live, so you can get an answer to your question.

Never pay a Talent Agent. They work on commission and get paid when the actor is paid.

Never pay a casting director.

Don't be afraid. I pretend I'm in my room, acting and singing. And if you're face gets red, so What! Show them what you're made of! If they doubt you, don't give up! I've been to plenty of auditons where I really sucked, but I'm still doin' it! Who care what they think, preten dyou're in your room, singing and acting as if no one is there!
HIH!
