It is a way of identifying a community in the same way as your last name associates you with the rest of your family.
To clarify: If things are looked at logically, historically, people who lived near each other bred together, and thus looked alike. People from one continent looked different from people from another continent. Now that we have modern travel and integration, all people will mix and in several generations we will all look more alike. But there is just the simple fact that in the past, race was a way of seeing where our homeland was. This is only logic and it's ridiculous to be afraid of this fact.
(Heritage isn't necessarily a negative thing)

No there is not. Do not be proud of FACE, RACE or PLACE. DNA has proven that we are all biologically the same with such an accuracy that to make a difference is strictly pride and arrogance.
When this study was finished, President William "Bill" Clinton announced this finding over World Wide Television in an attempt to stop racial prejudices.
