I say Johnny Depp,he brought a more interesting character,while Gene Wilder composed a more down to earth character.

Gene Wilder i think was a more realistic character, Johnny Depp's version was more of a cartoon.

Gene Wilder- don't get me wrong Johnny Depp is one of my favorite actors but this movie with him in it was a little scary.

Gene Wilder was better. I love Johnny Depp, but his Wonka portrayal seemed unnatural.

Nobody will EVER surpass Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka in my mind, but Johnny Depp's performance was the best follow-up I could have asked for.

I think Johnny Depp definitely made a better Willy Wonka. He added a twist to the movie and The movie followed the book better

I loved Johnny Depp's Wonka. I thought it was awesome. I had a lot of fun watching that movie and Johnny really gets into character which is the best.
