The simple answer is, who knows. Unfortunately, alternative medicines do not undergo the rigorous testing required by the FDA to approve medications for public consumption. Since alternative medicines are not tested, there are no lists of side effects nor are there any guarantee that the products will work. All you can do it try them. If they work and you don't suffer any ill effects, then you know you can safely use it. Sorry, but there is no other definitive answer.
