Are there jobs in electronic game development?
My son is going to worster polytechnic insitute for game design as a major. He is very bright he is also writes novels and is a good artist. What are the prospects in this field?

Computer gaming is a multi billion dollar industry. I don't know if you know this there is events like the olympics for computer gaming. When I say computer gaming it also include console gaming.
Though the market is multi billion dollars worth there are not very many professionals in there. I would recommend him to get it touch with good groups and try to get in as interns in Electronic Arts or Big Huge Games. These two companies keep their employees happy. Computer Gaming development is a cool feild. If he is good at writing novels he can one day make a complete themed game with a team where ever he works.

It is a good field. people use games a lot, and that incures the need for game developers. you son having the artistic side is a very big plus. Game developing is mainly art and coding
