I think what your doctor meant, was if you already have the desire to be bisexual, that underlying that "want" there would also have to exist a "need" as well. We want to realize ourselves from our deepest hopes and dreams to feel complete and happy in our lives. If you are truly wanting this type of sexuality to be a reality for you, there has to be within you, the interest in both sexes, to begin with. I truly don't think any one can turn themselves gay, let's say, if it's not actually part of their true natural make-up, their genetic code. It would all be an act. You really cannot pretend to be something in real life, that you are truly not in reality. That only happens on the stage or in Hollywood, because the actor does not have to go full circle with all the requirements of fulfilling an adopted role as acting a part only deals with a partial reality. We know life doesn't work that way! All you can do, is to actually try it, and see if it feels right for you! No one can do that for you! You don't need to consult anyone as no one can live your life for you! So begin the search for the real you! Don't worry, because if you discover you were wrong, you'll not want to continue, as it just will not feel right! Good luck!

She means you're going to have to have feelings for both men and women - emotional as well as physical. Bisexuals are emotionally and physically attracted to men and women - it's not always a 50/50 split, but the potential to fall in love with/have a relationship with men or women is there.
Your doctor's right, she can't MAKE you bisexual, nobody can change another person's orientation. You can want to be all you like, but ultimately you'll be forcing yourself through relationships (physical or otherwise) that you really just might not be comfortable with. In your case, with women. If you want to be with women, if you're attracted to women, that's a different story. But wanting to be bisexual and actually being bisexual are different. You can't really fight sexual orientation - gay, straight or otherwise.

She means you have to be bisexual by falling in love with men and women, you can't just go "I want to be bisexual" and be all like "BAM! I'm bisexual!" Sorry but it's just the way it works.

...you know that bisexuality isn't a physical thing, right? If you're bisexual, it means you are attracted to and have the capability of falling in lust/love with both genders.

you can't make your self bisexual you just are. I don't think that the Dr. was calling u bi, I just think that she was saying your curious and that you need to figure that out on your own because no one can make u bi.

well, you are what is called bi-curious. that means you are curious about experimenting about being with someone your own sex.which is cool, and by the way, quite natural.
what the doc meant, is that if you are asking or talking aobut it, it must mean you are curious, so you must have some feeling towards wanting to experience being with another girl.

okey if you are bisexual,it means that your intersted in both men&women sexually?if so-that was what she was meaning.... unless you want to become a transexual.that is when you are a man or women that feels uncomfortable in the god given body.and wants to change their sex to another sex.
hope i helped.
