It is known that in the present century, most nations are facing problem in the form terrorism. They may have problem with political policies. but why are they targetting innocent civilians? Is it simply to grab media attention or anything else. Above all how the world is going to stop it?

No, they would rather kill President Bush or Cheney if they can. However, important people have lots of security around themselves so they are harder to kill. They kill civillians because they have no protection so they are easy to kill. If they want the most media attention they would assasinate the head of the country right?
Yes as someone puts it, they are cowards. You CANNOT stop these people. They have strong hatred which is a never ending cycle. If you take out one of their camp, they will get madder and have more hate getting new recruits.

The Islamic Jihad's main goal is to have a one religion world-wide and we know as Islam. Targetting civilians gets the point across without much planning. It doesn't matter to them if they are children, women or healthy men. As you stated it is done to grab media attention. These coward's run with a mask or a head wrap over their heads and face, this indicates to most they are scared of retribution from others.
Islam is evil. If you do not worship Islam then they will behead
you. They are nothing more than a bunch raging Demonic
children of Satan. They are working themselves straight into Hell and don't even know that they are being used by Satan himself. For this I pity them!

Its a form psychological guerilla warfare. You use the civilians fears in an attempt to shape foreign policy. The theory is that if you cause enough damage and they will submit or negotiate on the terms of the terrorist. Its only works if the target of the terrorist org is a coward, and only a coward assumes that all others are cowards.

Terrorism has always been with us and will never end. Terrorism is a term that is not defined. It can be by an individual against many or by the state against one.
Terrorists target innocent civilians by justifying to themselves that all civilians who are not with them are against them.

Its their way of making a statement ( we are too weak to take on the military so we are going to kill inocent people cause we can do that ) so they can pressure on world leaders to bow down to Muhamed and kiss thier feet. Theres gonna be a limited nuclear war very soon in middle east maybe this year if Iran keeps pushing they Iran support most terrorism in world to focus attention away from them as they try to build thier nukes

Terrorists succeed by fear. If people believe they are not safe, they are more likely to give in.
Also, terrorists greatest tool is the media. An attack on an innocent is big news.
