dude, if you have the "chops" to play hendrix stuff well enough to feel you have "mastered" them, then you have a true gift. jimi played from the heart, and if you can tap into where he was spiritually when he played, then you should be able to take your skill to a whole other level... remember, it's easier to emulate someone else, than to reinvent something and make it your own. that style of guitar playing is something that comes from DEEP inside of you... being able to play the notes is one thing, but heart and soul can't be learned... it's a gift. don't try to be "just another" jimi (there has already been one, and he OWNS it)... be the "next" great and take what jimi has taught you and let it help you play what YOU feel.........

I can play Voodoo Chile quite well and also Hey Joe....but Little Wing, which is one of my favourite songs of all time, I cant seem to nail it down properly.

i've mastered hey joe and purple haze, but to be honest, i do like him and respect him but not a major fan, i've also had a go at django rhienhardts style and took me nearly a year to master one tune.
