What would you do if you were the president of the United States? Let's avoid the War in Iraq and Afghanistan for now. Pretend that we had already pulled out of Iraq. What would you do to better this country economically, socially, etc.?

The exact opposite of Bush,then this would be a kind generous productive safe country
half our taxes go to the war machine in this country I would since we have security ,with our 5000 nukes spend about 10% of our taxes on the military, and spend the savings on the peoples health and resources.This would then be a GREAT country for my people.

End the Federal Reserve in favor of a Gold Standard. The Fed inflates our currency, redistributing money to the rich. With a Gold Standard, we might cut out the feet of the Progressive Taxation proponents.

End Direct Election of Senators. The Senate should be a legislature that represents the states, as it was until the 1910s. Then we'll have a house of Congress that would vote down big government schemes.

End the IRS. The vast majority, if not all, of government programs are unnecessary, so once they're gone, the IRS tax wouldn't be needed any longer.

Get us out of the UN. The megalomaniac World Government wannabe should not have our participation. Then it would collapse just like Wilson's stupid League and we'd eliminate one of the supporters of Positive Rights and therefore threats to legitimate Rights.

Secure our borders and increase immigration quotas. I would redeploy the troops to the Mexican border to aid in building the fence and watching for illegal immigration. Then I'd increase the quotas by a huge amount.

I would make Congress read the laws it passes and then make them write all the laws by removing the force of law from bureaucratic regulations. Congress would be slowed down in a hurry.

I would pardon the border patrol agents jailed to appease the Mexican government and their Chavezist president.

I would close all military bases abroad, preventing all future wars.

Go back to Iraq and secure that oil! I can't afford high gas costs! You don't want to leave all that sweet crude for the Chinese to gobble up, do you? We need it for our economic growth and stability! Infinum's the limit! Not to mention all the amenities of home!

No seriously, I'd ask you to cull the human population through awareness and birth control.

Well first make sure here inside in the US be safe and make sure that Our country US be first then anything and fix problems here inside=US Always first here and then if is time then help another ones that need our help but I see that here inside is too many things that are so wrong and what our Gov is doing not much they focused in outside problems instead of ours...Is sad but is the truth....Is a say That I learn in Spanish....Luz de la calle y obscuridad en tu casa...= Light in the street and darknes in your own home....Does that make sense? I know our country is so kind but some another don't see it like that...Help is one thing but fix their problems that is their job so thats all I have to say....God Bless America....Better the that.... i would be pissin in a lot of cheerios, raining on a lot of parades, not many people would like me, because i'd execute my power based upon my convictions rather than public opinion. id probably get impeached, diplomacy would be handled down at the local irish pub over a few pints, white house keggers would be a weekend regularity, and i sure as hell wouldn't wear suit every day. i would probably come to work in my pajamas because im the president and who is going to stop me right?

i would expand benefits for veterans of foreign wars, implement a fair tax plan to encourage business growth and job production, put heavy burden on our southern neighbors to get their act together so that their citizens would rather stay in their own country instead of invade ours, drill the alaskan oil reserve (in moderation) and supplement government sponsored oil drilling in the gulf, contract bids and incentives for businesses who can find the quickest route to alternative fuel sources...

my interviews would be uncooth, disrespectful, and lack composre, and id probably end up getting sued...

best bet, don't vote for me...

I'd make health care for all citizens the top priority, then I'd tackle the looming Social Security and Medicaid/Care problem to insure they are solvent and strong.
