ok once i keep my male and female in different cages who gets to keep the baby the male or female???

Until they reach an age when they no longer nurse (3 weeks), keep them in with the female. After they are weaned, move them immediately into segregated cages. Males and females can mate as young as 5 weeks and you'll soon find yourself with many more hamsters than you want.

female she needs to feed it and the male will probably eat it also dont keep the hamster in the same cage for too long as they may fight

THE FEMALE. she is the one who provides the milk. unless they are grown already thn you need to put boys in one girls in another unless you want more babies.
