My baby is 7 months old and I was wondering if it is okay for my baby to have a little white rice?

White rice is more constipating that brown rice, so we were advised by our doctor recently. I would also agree you should mash it up pretty good, perhaps using some chicken soup to soften it (if you don't have the softer variety).

Can't think of any reason why not if he/she likes it. Just give it some flavour. I use to add a small bit of powdered chicken stock or the juices from whatever we were eating. They loved it.

Well, it has no nutritional value. Why do you want to feed your baby pure starch? do some searching and discover real whole, healthy foods for your baby. Her pallate is just developing don't give her a taste for refined simple carbohydrates first thing.

As long as he/she knows how to chew, why not. Just try tiny spoonfuls at a time. My son was eating re fried beans as soon as he could chew them.

If you do, please mash it up to a paste first. It will be very easy for them to get strangled on the tiny pieces by sucking it down it's windpipe.
