Troy is my son's name. There is no nickname with that and it is a nice name for when he gets older.

Macy, dakota, Hailey, Savannah, Cameron, Tatiana, Estrella, Ivy, Claudia, Genevieve, Sidney, Francesca, Carolyn, Whitney, Joanna. I don't think any of those can really be shorten too badly.

I understand about names that are cute when little but not as an adult but I do like Mia as an adult name.

It's really hard to find a two syllable name that cannot be shortened. Like Amy can be shortened to Aim or Ame but it isn't like the child would be called Ame on a regular basis...

How about:
* Claire
* Sophie (Sophia)
* Paige
* Erin
* Eve
* Elle
* Brooke
* Jayne
* Anne (I like Ana but it can be shortened to Ann)
* Grace
* Bree
* Sarah
* Khara
* Tara
* Hannah
* Cate
* Rose
* Beth

Good Luck. SD

I chose names where there could be no nicknames involved.
If I had a girl I was naming her Scarlett Belle... but I am having a boy and I am naming him either Sebastian Alexander or Sebastian Chase.

Audrey, Grace, Eva, Maria, Anna

I guess that nicknames could be derived somehow from any of these names, but it's likely that the real names will be used.

I know exactly what you mean by the cute names but as adults the names don't fit. I named my daughter Sela (see-la) like Sela Ward, and I think it will be perfect when she is an adult. Good luck!
