I definitely can. I have had lots of guy friends who I consider just friends. I know I could never fall for them cuz there's just no spark, no chemistry there.

I believe a man and woman can be just friends. You can love eachother as real friends do and still not be "in love" It becomes a little more difficult to maintain the "just friends" if there is a sexual chemistry between the two of you. Only you will know that. Taking that next step can sometimes ruin the friendship forever..or on a brighter note..you may have found your soul mate.

Yes, but the guys are the ones that tend to want to push things to a more B/f - g/f type deal. Unless the guys are married. So, yeah, it's possible. The maturity level between men and women just don't always seems to match. By the time the guys are matured, they usually are in their mid 30's to their 40's where young women in their mid twenties tend to find attractions in them just becasue they seemed more matured and that these young women are themselves at that maturity levels too. It's true that girls tend to be far more matured than boys at earlier ages. So it's almost uncommon for men and women to be just friends and can be at the same levels among best friends have. I did have friends who are opposite sex, and the thing is that, well I think it has some thing to do with society too that makes that ideal things seems impossible at times. What Iam getting at is this, the guys tend to make it like you and the women who are just friends are hot for each other. Sometimes it seems just like a joke, but sometimes they seem pretty serious about. but you know your intentions and you know who you are. It's just that sometimes the guys act like they don't quite know you that well anymore. You see what I mean? Good enough, yes, my dear?

I think you can definitely have a friend of the opposite sex. Guys make the best friends because they usually are so real. A lot of girls are so fake and will talk to someone like they're best friends and then go right behind their backs and say something about them. Guys usually shoot things straight. I like that.

If not, then you're reducing the amount of possible friends by 50%. That's kind of sad to think that a person of the opposite gender is only for sexual relations. I think people have more to offer than their reproductive orgrans.

My aunt told me once that men and women are only friends because something went wrong. I guess its more permissable if you're single and you have friends of the opposite sex; however, your future significant other may not be as willing to approve of the "friendship"

Men and women can deifinitely be friends without falling in love. I have male friends who are attractive who i have a lot of fun talking to, but we aren't in love.

I have more female friends than male friends. I was introduced to my wife by one of them.

I even had one female friend ask to hook up and I told her no because we were just friends.
