whoever said hammys cannot have surgery is full of it. just not many vets WILL do it. your hammy may only be in shock. if your parents won't take it to the vet you may have to prepare yourself for the worst. but wait a little bit longer and if it does not begin to move around and eat and all, see if you can get it to a vet to be checked out at least to see if he can be put to sleep so hes not hurting anymore. its the right thing to do.

put him in his cage and put a cloth over it . If he is bleeding try applying a little pressure.

It may just be playing dead because of the attack.

You can call the vet but there is probably not a lot the vet could do except clean and stitch up any cuts.

He should feel safer in his cage so leave him alone for a while and see if he has moved later.

Keep him warm and in a safe, quiet place. You might want to keep some softer food nearby. Keep the cats at a distance. Keep them in separate rooms and the hamster in a cage. Hope for the best and don't let them near each other again. The hamster may not be hurt so much physically as much as traumatized. If the cats knew how to hunt, he'd be dead.

You need to take him to the vet and have him put to sleep. That is the only humane way to care for him in this situation. In the future, any other hamsters should be kept in enclosures far from the cat's reach.

The best thing for you to do is take him to the vet. I am very sorry about your dilemma. The vet will be better equipped to determine the extent of his injuries and will advise you on how to deal with your situation. Again, I am so so sorry. Good luck.

as a results of fact they are afraid on what that's. i must be monster from a mythology e book, a clean faith, a gay parade, some human beings quite could attack as a results of fact that's much less puzzling rather of speaking it over like civilized human beings.

Hi is clearly terrified and traumatised!

How stupid are you keeping a hamster and cat in the same house? How did the cat get to him through the cage? (I assume you're clever enough to keep him in a cage, but maybe not...)

Some people are beyond belief.

I am very sorry! Hamsters are pretty mean, too bad he couldnt defend himself! You might want to have him put down. Animals cannot not talk and he could be in horrible pain. I wish you luck!

a hamster is too small to hav surgery of any sort so all you can do is keep him warm. If he is not drinking, get a eye dropper and water him.
Good luck

take him to a vet, and good luck. don't blame the cat, he's just doing what cats do.
