With 20 dollars one can only buy between 2 and 10 grocery store items between $1.99 and $10.00 each, work jeans on sale for $18.99, a bus trip for one person to Atlantic City from Philadelphia or somewhere in the Tri-state area (PA.-NJ.-DE.), 20 chances to win the state lottery, a 10 inch two layer birthday cake, a 9"X13" sheet cake with icing and decoration or one of the diluted, or imitation designer scent cologne sprays from your local drugstore in an 8 ounce or smaller size. Twenty dollars can purchase very little compared to what it could buy 15 years ago.
