I have tried many remedies - a product called Liquid Fence, (smells horrid) is available at nurseries. Must be regularly applied to offer what I estimate as only partial success. I will try the baby powder suggestion - that's one I hadn't heard before. I just figure I am the gourmet food supplier for the ones here.Lately the battle has been with quail - eating off the leaves of potted annuals and digging in them for nesting purposes. I think my best control is not to visit nurseries - can't seem to walk through one without succumbing. Geraniums seem to be deterrents. There are both cottontails and jackrabbits here.

depends on how desperate your rabbits are!
some say pepper or marigold plants, flakes from peppers, pedals from marigolds work. BUT my Friends tried that, the rabbits ate the plants to the ground, hopped right over the flakes/pedals! that happened to be a VERY dry summer, i think the rabbits were just desperate!
I've also heard discarded pet hair, cat & dog, spread around and in the garden between waterings/rain fal works. most groomers or vets are happy to give old shaved pet hair away.
or just become elmer fudd! :)
good luck!!!

My mum had the same problem for years and then she got a cat......this does give its own problems (like poop!) but it sure as hell gets rid of the rabbits. Her garden is now stunning in the summer! Hope you like cats1

Watching your answers with interest. Will try baby powder. I have a heron scarer (fits on end of hose ) but have only used it against herons (also called a bird and cat scarer).I wish a pet fox was a possibility. Dogs do not do it! Hope you get a really good answer for us all.

They make a device that turns your sprinklers on when it detects motion. You can water, and scare off rabbits at the same time.
