I need this for a school project due in about a week. It can't be a kit, so it has to be made from scratch. Any good ideas, even a good building material would help!

you can use Styrofoam cut in blocks and paint them glue them to a peace of cardboard or if you want to go for realism get some mortar at the hardware store and use an ice tray to make small bricks and glue them together in the right shape

some medieval castles had walls built of stone, not brick.
6foot or more thick, Other buildings had timber frames , here are some sites that might be useful

use sugar cubes they make great building blocks glue them together with Elmer's glue have fun with this project.
