I would do one on black holes, they are way interesting and you can get a butt load of info if you go to wikipedia.com.

Dark matter and dark energy facinates me. (but that's just me) The Big Bang Theory relates to it and that facinates me as well. I like astronomy and personaly, I like the mystery and phisics of space. Planets and stars and the obvious things I already am a master of, but I like to go beyond that. It's true we only see .001% of the universe and the rest is what I like. the phisics are interesting and learning what literaly makes the world go round and wondering where gravity comes from and how it effects time. Yes time is another interesting topic. What is time and what is our demention? How could we harness it if we could? And the forces of motion.(because of corse the whole universe moves) The overall dementions of the universe is the big picture few think about. They just think we are in our own little world busy with or jobs and stuff. They don't wonder or think about how the universe was ceated and that the universe expands faster and faster each moment. Things like that are bound to impress your entire class. But you can always try somthing easier to comprehend like the composition of stars and the status of planets. What about extraterrestrials? All astronomy facinates me!

For a recent astronomy class I did term papers on Comets and also the Drake Equation. Lots of stuff on the internet.

if this is a science project i would stay away from black holes and any thing that is limited to theory they like to see data and facts so maybe try nebulas planet formation and things like that so you can present some evidence.
