I related some of my experiences before. What I did not mention were two of my mates, one who at 15-16 nearly drank himself senseless every day.
His dad said to the other mate's dad: I think the lads are drinking.
The second Dad replied "I know they are, I am going broke replacing all my liquor they are pinching!"
It ran its course... in their 20's now (24, 25) they, like I, drink only on occasion.

I am much older than 16. Before I turned 18 (legal age for drinking in my state at the time), I had a few sips of drinks and some wine at family gatherings. From time to time as I have aged I have used and at times abused alcohol. I no longer do so and mostly the reason is that I must be cautious when drinking alcohol regarding how it mixes with other medications that I MUST take. Aging is so great, lol.

Not 16 now but when was 16 tried it a bit... as others were but soon prefered just pepsi for energy in nightclubs... been going from 16 to mosh, socialise, try and pull, dance, stagedive, and be part of the scene...

usually when drink now its usually shots you can set fire to or have in dentist chairs as you cant do that with pepsi

In a good nightclub with decent music and atmosphere you dont need alcohol

I am now 31, but at 16 was an alcoholic. I drank to hide the pain that was caused by my abusive mother. It was also my form of rebelling against those who wanted to control me. I was reckless with my ways, and persisted in this manner for almost 2 years. I am thankful that I made it through those times and am here today.

Im 16 for a couple more weeks and i started drinking at parties to fit in. Mostly i drink at the weekends to help stop thinking about work iv gotta do. I think drinking is ok as long as its not all you think about and all you do.

I'm 19. I drink, not that often though. Just every couple weekends, hanging out with friends. I don't get completely wasted, just enough to have a good time. I know how to drink safely, I know my limits, and I don't let anyone push me into drinking.

I am not 16 (used to be)
Do NOT drink alcohol. I have never felt the need for chemical comfort.
I have met 1000s who wished they had never started but not one non-drinker who regretted it.
