I live in a small town in Utah, and I'm going to a college in Utah with a good acting program, but where do I go from there? How do I make theatre a career? I don't want to be one of those aspiring actresses that moves to L.A. and works her butt off only to be disappointed...where should I start?

Very few people make it "big time." You can make theatre a career by becoming a company member of the professional theater in the city where you live or Ccommunity Theater in your city.

Audition for Regional Theatre productions. Many casting directors and agents attend Regional Theatre productions to find new talent.

Don't aim for "big time" right away. As one of the other responses said, so few people actually become famous. Get with a talent company/agent if you're not already, and it's their job to find you auditions. Also, don't be afraid to go out to LA or New York for a summer and try out for some things if you have auditions. You don't have anything to lose. Good luck =]
