if you smoke or smoked for a long period of time, it is more risky to use a hormonal contraceptive. you may want to check on a low dose birth control pill. if you don't have risk factors/history of heart or liver problems or any history of smoking, then you could use pretty much anything you'd like. hope that helps.

The low-dose birth control pills. That's if you don't smoke nor have any cardiac problems.

I am over 35 and I take the low-dose pills.
