The remote. But my family use to call it "the clicker" when I was growing up. My Grandma calls it the Watchamacallit or The Doohickey Most of the time, though, I would call it my best friend!!

When I was a kid it was the clicker bec it was one of those old ones that made a clicking sound when you pushed the up or down button lol. Does that show my age? lol. Now I call it a mote. I am lazy so I shortened it from remote to mote hahaha :)
