I believe that John McCain tries to be honest, and has been honest in the past. You have to understand that like the folks in the courtroom that Jack nicholson spoke to "You can't handle the truth"

No matter what a politician says, he's gonna offend someone, so they have handlers who tell them what to say, and how to say it.

McCain is a good example. In the run up to the '04 primary elections McCain was scathngly critical. When it became apparent that he wasn't gonna get the nomination, he had to amke nice and endorse the party's candidate, or risk loss of financial support from the party.

And just recently, he refered to "wasted lives" in Iraq and then had to back pedal. Hopefully the change in terminology from "wasted" to "sacrificed" was to appease those whp had lost loved ones in that war.

At any rate, he's still on my radar as a potential candidate.

And for the record I'm a democrat, never voted for a republican presidential candidate in my life. But I'm keeping my options open until I see what viable candidates both parties present.

And I don't see how rational debate is served by insulting the Republicans. However, Chimpy is a whole other thing. He sought the office, now let him take the heat.

Even though I think I'm honest (but not a politician), we all have our agendas. Mine happens to be changing the economics of Renewable Energy. As long as on doesn't think in terms of economics you can't get anything done. Granted if I could get them to do my solution it would be worth 1 years GDP of the US. If they keep on their present path it is likely that you will see the economics of the 1850's as early as 2050, along with all the civil up rising the down turn would cause.

At the same time I haven't seen a democrat angel either. Politicians from both sides say what they think the people wish to hear. Just look at Hillary she will spin her argument to sound like her views match her audience. Right, Center, Center/Left, Left, Far Left, & maybe even over the edge.

Let me refine your lies...I mean statement. NAME ONE HONEAT POLITICIAN!

You can't cause there is no such animal. Most politicians were once lawyers and we all know lawyers lie their butts off both in and out of court but the worst politicians to lie are the democrats. They've been caught way too amny times to deny it. I know you people are going to give me thumbs down and even report me for this and I don't care. Enough people will read it before they delete it and those people will know I tell the truth unlike some people on this board.

BTW, I'm not a republican whether you think I am or not.

Reality Check: Sorry to be the bearer of unfortunate tidings, but they are ALL owned by essentially the same "interests". The democrats are just a bit classier, and nuanced about it.

We peasants are led to believe that since we have a "two party system" there exists real choice. Merely part of the scam. In all wars, all elections, all situations where there appear to be opposite sides, the same people always own both sides. Smart, eh? Well, they've had millenia of experience at it.

Well sir, since I am sure we only have a limited amt of space, there wont be enough room to name them all so I will leave you with President Bush as the name on top of my list...

I was curious about something and maybe you can clear it up for me, what is a "repuke", name calling shows a persons mentality level, and you arent scoring very high. Thats my opinion, thank you for listening.

Ron Paul

Anti-war from the start, he's remained 100% consistent in his ideas since he started in Congress. He adheres to the Constitution so much that he votes against unconstitutional legislation even if the rest of Congress votes for it.

The GOP has actually financed Democrats in his district to try to rid themselves of him because he's the one Congressman spending his time protecting our freedom.

By the way, he's running for president. Wouldn't a president who stands by the Constitution be nice after 8 years of GWB, the most wasteful spender since LBJ?

Can you name any honest Democrat Politician. No... It's not like we have great knowledge of whether any politician is honest or not. How can we judge. We can't really

ah..humm......let's see...let me get back to you....
on the same page this is a serious issue. I mean you want your children (I hope) to be honest and honorable and truthful. But they are wiser than you think. They see dishonesty coming from the highest sources; they see presidents and cabinet members lying through their teeth; they see members of Congress and Senate being arrested for fraud and chiild abuse and any number of other criminal offenses. And yet, the majority of parents just chalk it up to "oh well that's the way things are"...it's pathetic that we do not demand more of our leaders. It really is.

Sen. Chuck Hagel from Nebraska. He opposed Bush on Iraq before it became popular!

(A true Eisenhowerian Republican; he's the last of a dying breed. Alas.)
