Just cuz in my massive blue (power ranger like) outfit and blue quad...(blue is my favorite color can you tell?) I resemble a teenage boy doesnt mean this girl can't ride! You should see the looks when my helmet comes off and my hair comes down! Are guys just ignorant to the fact that girls like dangerous sports/fun too?

I also get a natural "high" off of peaking and jumping the big dunes, as well as doing the figure 8's where there is two-way traffic! What a rush! Hubby can't quite keep up on the figure 8's --I absolutely love it! And yes, I have given him reason to worry, I suppose---since I have severe osteoporosis, and have had a pelvis fracture in my teen years due to a horse riding accident. I due use common sense though, I have the FULL garb I wear..Quadding approved clothing, gloves, helmet, goggles, boots, kidney belt, chest protector, and nemesis body armour.... got all these goodies after I rolled the quad and suffered a slight concussion, then went on to go airborne and have the quad coming straight down for me.....man the sand was a hard landing, but what a rush! I know why these guys love extreme sports! Did I mention I am a mother or 4 boys? No wonder why I love "Boy/Man" oriented fun!!!LOL!

I am a guy, and I don't think girls can't ride quads and peak the big hills at the sand dunes.

I have ridden with a lot of women who were better riders than some of the men I ride with.

I believe women can do anything they want, if they want it bad enough.

Get out there and kick their azzes gal!

It's deeply engrained in to the physhce and rests with the most basic aspects of the human/animal mindset. Men have, since the earliest years, been the ones who protect the home and, more importantly, the women from danger. This is just as powerful a force as the need for food and shelter. The idea of a woman volunteering to put herself into danger, infront of a man (who is the "protector"), is simply confusing. It's not the mans "fault" that is doesn't play right in their head, it's simply the animalistic thought process that causes confusion. It's not so much a "You can't do that" idea as much as "You shouldn't be doing that because I have lost the control factor in regards to your safety."

It gets clouded sometimes in modern society and we sometimes think we're above the 'real' animals of the world, but when it comes down to it we all have the same basic mindset.

I have alot of friends i ride quads with.I own a Yamaha Grizzly but their is one girl that rides with us.She rides a 1990 Banshee. She really beats the snot out of that thing just like a guy.She rides just as good if not better than the rest of us.I actually thinks she looks pretty sexy when she is covered with mud.It is nice to see her boucin up and down the ruts (if you know what i mean). No offense.Nothin wrong with a chick on a quad.

Because they don't like being shown up by females. I get it all the time too. I get a laugh out of it though, its great. I'm a mother of 2 and I ride better than some of my hubbies mates (He's so proud) and gets a laugh out of it also. We go to the beach, bush, paddock and I was the only one , besides my lunatic brother inlaw to ride the quads over some wrecked cars, everyone else was too scared. I love it and am addicted. And yes it does give you a high, especially when you come screaming out of the bushes sideways to the carpark, take off your helmet and the guys have to look twice with their jaws dropping looking at you in awe and their girlfriends give you dirty looks because your out there having fun with the guys, and they are standing there with high heels and make up on. (Ha).
