I have nothing against alternative energy, as long as it is funded by corporations and not taxes.

Until a Global Warming debate is held and Global Warming is proven conclusively (as I don't believe it would be), I won't support Kyoto or any other Government reaction to Global Warming.

How can we accept Global Warming when scientists have never even proven that Global Warming is likely caused by human action? The level of Global Warming that does exist, if any, is probably beneficial anyway. They need to prove their theory if they want to hurt our economy to stop it.

I'm all for energy independence, and I'm all for finding clean, renewable sources of energy, but man-made global warming is a crock that is not backed by real science. It should not be a part of the debate.

Edit: Yes, it's an un-needed distraction.

Global warming is a bunch of bull. Even Al Gore doesn't believe in it, or he wouldn't be flying all over the country in his big jets, and he wouldn't own several big mansions. It's a complete crock. I agree though, we do need to be independent when it comes to energy. It's kind of hard though when the Libs don't want to drill, because of a flippin worm in the ground.

If it can't survive in the free market, it doesn't deserve to be pushed.

That said, I think Bio-diesel and ether both have promise. Perhaps if the government quit paying farmers to leave ground dormant, we could use the surplus grain for these experiments.
